TIPTON, Ind. - Officials have shut down a central Indiana business where they suspect patrons were illegally playing poker for money.

The Indiana Gaming Control Division served a search warrant Wednesday night at the Hold ‘Em House in Tipton about 30 miles north of Indianapolis.

Division Director Larry Rollins said officers found several card-playing patrons. No arrests were made, but the names of patrons and other information was turned over to Tipton County prosecutors for possible charges.

Rollins said Hold `Em House is suspected of illegally allowing cards to be played for money. State law permits only not-for-profit groups to stage card or Bingo tournaments to raise money for charity.
